Our Company Day Trip!

Photobucket

Today is our company day trip to Malaysia - One Day Durian Tour! We booked for 2 Combis with 3 pick-up points @ Eunos MRT station, Kovan MRT station and Kranji MRT station. Our combi was late, thanks to RL, Peiting(RL's wife to be) and MM! These 3 little pigs overslept and they pushed the blame on their 'alarm clocks'! :P
Despite the lill hiccups here and there early in the morning, we are still very happy to see everyone. Its been a long time since our last trip together and I really miss those days... We were lucky to catch up with Group A for breakfast during the stop-over. They highly recommended to try the local Wanton noodles... the noddles is chewy and spicy and yummy. I've also ordered some dim-sum... I didn't take any pics due as the food is not appetising at all! I'm impressed with RL cos he easily finished 2 bowls of noodles for his breakfast. Good Job!
1st stop - Local Products Shopping
I never expect to shop this early. I would prefer to shop at the end of the day after all the sightseeing tours and walking around.
Brandon loves my friends' and colleagues' at all times...
Especially with 'Ham-Taro'; his new-found friend!
2nd Stop- Organic Farm Tour
I suggest we should look out alternative tours in JB other than this organic farm. Most of the areas and the plants are not well taken care of. The lady who brought us around is not attentive at all. She speaks too soft and we can't hear her very well... many a time, few of us were just walking around on our own. I was disappointed with the short guided tour.
Did you see the pathetic mini-bunch of hanging grapes in below picture?
Brandon bought a Chinese Tea Herb Egg~ he likes it!
3rd Stop - Durian Feast with Simple Lunch
Many of my colleagues love Durians... look at them! standing in one straight row, waiting for the durians to be opened one by one, tasting the bitter ones, sweet ones, hard ones, all of them eat and eat non-stop, throwing the seeds in the boxes underneath the long tables. Besides durians, they have rambutans, jack fruits, mangosteens, bananas, all the tropical fruits.. I very fussy and picky, I don't like this place at all. No chairs; No cold drinks; No clean toilets, No other food except Fried Bee Hoon and Curry Chicken. Our lunch was these 2 dishes and we look more pathetic when we queue up for our food. The 'Bee-Hoon Lady' and 'Curry Chicken Auntie' distribute to us one by one and the portion is so 'Little'. I don't even know where my food gone after I eaten.

Brandon used to like Durians when he was young but not anymore now. He hates the smell and taste. And he's not the only one, RL all along do not like it and never eat it.

4th Stop - Shopping at Jaya Jusco
You name it, they have it in Malaysia shopping malls too! But don't
be surprised to find their prices are more costly than in Singapore. Brandon kept bugging me to bring him to his fav shop - Toys"R"Us ; finally he got his wish and bought himself a game set @ RM29.90/- I bought for myself a pair of heel shoes @ RM72.00/- We don't intend to spend so much but we can't resist the temptation. ={ After that, we had a short break at Hong Kong Cafe cos Brandon did not eat his lunch. He ordered a Ham and Cheese Sandwich and Fried Chicken Wings with Baked Cheese Rice. Wow! I was surprised he finished Both.

5th Final Stop - Dinner at Straits Garden
It was the best and most delicious meal of this entire day. PS arranged an upgrad for our set dinner menu and all of us enjoyed this sumptuous meal so much! Brandon finished a bowl of rice despite his earlier late lunch. I am so glad he had a great time today!

MM, Brandon, PS smiling happily...
Stylish and Modern ambiance.. lovely~
