Local Farmer at work...we won't get to see such kind of thing in Singapore. In Cambodia, June to October is the wet season whereas from November to May is the dry season. The weather is extremely hot during the day time but surprisingly its windy and cooling in the morning between 6am to 9am.
One of the local village house along the way to the new school.
This is the site we visited last Dec and Propnex decided to build a new primary school here. It is not as spacious as compare to the Kampal Village which has total 4 blocks of 5 classrooms. At Kampal, Propnex added a new wing for the local children whereas here, this school is built from scratch and only block of 5 classrooms here... they estimated about 250 students from this Trayong Pong Village.
Local kids outside the school. The children here lead a simple lifestyle, as long there's food and education. They are more than happy to be able to earn a decent living to feed their family.
See the big box on bottom left? That was the box my family and friends contributed. We start to unpack these boxes and packed individual item into the goodie bags. The kids are gonna be thrilled when they receive all these goodies...I'm just afraid it will too heavy for the young ones to carry.
We packed more than 250 goodie bags cos we believe there would be more than the actual no. every family has an average of 2-3 kids...
Total of 5 teams who are in-charge of painting the walls... they are free to draw anything they with their imagination and I think everyone did an excellent job!
I find the children in Trayong Pong are beautiful...
Our sumptuous packed lunch by one of the local restaurant... I shared with Brandon cos its too much... we can't finished the food so we pass on to those kids who were standing at the window... I gave my un-touched lunch pack to one boy and he ran happily back home.
A little half-naked girl. with big round eyes enjoying her lolly.
Due to our tight schedule, everyone is doing their best to complete the painting in time.
This is Brandon's team...look at the big-faced dolly!
Segregating the old clothing for giving out to the children the next day.
Their popular local games among the boys - playing marbles...
One of the house next to the school. I realised many cows there are thin and muscular.
I love this little girl.. she looks so blur but very cute!
Great painting in the middle of the school, with sponsored names proudly stated and hang on the wall.
Lovely notes and greetings from all the PropNex agents!
Took this picture whilst on our way back to hotel...
I do not know what the kids doing here.. probably fishing?
Evidence of how dusty and dirty the place is....
After a hard day work, we deserved a yummy dinner from room service.
