Opening Ceremony of Trayong Pong Primary School

Brandon in the bus getting ready for his Origami lesson afterwards...
Brandon new-found friends during this trip... I guess its always easy to interact with all boys together... nowadays the kids are much mature than us when we were their age!
A caring team who spent money and efforts to provide education and goodies to the poor!
Kids queueing up for their clothing and bags... you should see how happy they are when receiving their clothes and bags! S'pore kids would not appreciate such things and they might even fuss about the quality and brand!
Brandon is serious about teaching them Origami but seem that the children here do not understand. In the end, we teach them in small groups and we get few members of our team to help out. Some kids do not know what's it and they tear the papers and threw on the floor. This really upset Brandon and he feel rejected and discouraged. After I explained to him, then he starts folding for them again.

He has a great helper, Eugene, who knows how to fold a 'bat' and 'boomberang'... Brandon is teaching them how to fold a 'mouse', 'flapping bird', 'candy dish' and 'classic glider'!
Official opening ceremony of the Propnex Trayong Pong Primary School!
Exterior of the new school... good enough to fit in all the children from this village.
Children sitting orderly in their classroom awaits for our distribution of the goodie bags.
The first few who got the bags. Look at the little girls struggling with the heavy bag!
Kind of chaotic chaos whilst giving out the goodies cos we saw parents shoved their kids into the class through the open windows... there are some who did not get it and they cried. So, we packed a few more at last minute and give out whatever we still left over to make every child happy~
I like the little girl who carry her tin of biscuits... she is so small and the tin covers the whole of her body. The other girl with her two hands clap together showing her gratitude to us for the gifts. Great achievement when you see all these happy faces!
The lady who was crying is Anthea, one of Propnex's agent. It's her first time here and I believe lots of mixture emotional feelings within her after seeing the kids happily carrying their goodie bags and running to their parents... and the thought of her own child in Singapore... I fully understand.
Finally the last day of the event, me and my boy went through the ordeal together. I really after this trip, he will feel inspired and appreciate all the things around him.
