Who say US brands are better than our local brands? No way! My best buddy, Bebe is at North Carolina for barley 2 months and she's thinking about Lor-Mee; Laksa; Ba-Chor Mee; Hainanese Chicken Rice and on and on... She MISS all the yummy food here and she's going crazy! After hearing her grumbles for past 3 weeks.. finally I have time to make a trip to the Cold Storage at my workplace. I bought some local ingredients for her cooking @ home. She also craves a lot for Korean noodles! Thinking I'm so smart, I happily bought her 4 packets of five. I can imagine her thrilled look when she receives my gifts... Its my first time to courier items overseas and I'm not aware that to deliver these few items would me more than one hundred~ I spent about S$60++ for food items yet the courier fee costs more than S$100++ What??? I'm shocked! In the end, I decided to forgo to her favourite Korean noodles and sent the rest to her. Its unworth to pay such amount! By normal posting, the cost is about S$30/- and she got my envelope yesterday. Ooh-la-la!
I am looking forward to see her next year in March 2011. Not in US but in Singapore when she returns from the States to attend her bro's wedding. She has not book her ticket yet, so I do not know the exact date. Very soon, I will meet up with her after that cos I'm flying over to US.. Hooray! Its my first longest holiday with Steven, and we gonna spend 8Days at the West and 8Days at the East... plus a stopover 3Days at Tokyo when we fly back from Washington. Wow~
