Birthday Surprise

My two besties were in US on my birthday. I assume I would not have any celebration since they are not around and I've kept a low key for quite awhile. My sis reminded me to be home for dinner two days ago. I was thinking, how sad... my birthday if it's going to be like any usual day. I suggested to her, how about dinner at TCC...I got a 50% discount from them as my birthday gift and it shall be my treat on that day. She went along with my idea and so we booked the table for 13Oct, the Thursday.

I am overwhelmed by all the lovely birthday wishes and messages I received in my Facebook as well as my sms early morning.... Thank you to all my friends, school mates, ex-colleagues...I was filled with so much love...my mum called too but she never wish me. Naturally, my mood was slightly affected cos I thought my beloved mum has forgotten today it's my birthday. *so upset.. I was still in an unhappy mood when I met my sister and I complained to her. While waiting for Norman, my brother and Shan to come, we start our usual complaints about her work, my work... blah-blah-blah. After an hour, they are still not there yet and its really running late. I told Rain, we better go to TCC and wait for them there otherwise they might not hold the table for us any longer. She quickly replied she has called to postpone the reserved timing. I should have noticed something is fishy as I stood together with her for so long and I didn't see her making a call. "Foolish Me! We waited for another 15 mins and finally she said it's time to go. Just when I walked into TCC with her behind me, it caught me off guard when I saw the whole big group of my family and dear friends giggling away and called out to me : 'Surprise! Happy Birthday Shelle!' Ooh~ I was shocked, stunned, touched, extremely excited and happy, feeling hilarious....*tears rolling down  

Apparently, my sister is the mastermind and she gathered everyone to act in front me as if they don't care and give me that impression "what so great about my birthday"....Oh my-my! I am thankful and really really happy that my whole family and friends were all there for me. Indeed, I am so blessed with such a loving family and wonderful friends who care about me, been through with me during my ups and downs...accept my good and bad points... always supportive when I need encouragement... the sweetest 'birthday bash' I ever had!
