20 Unsuitable Food for Children

1. Orange contains carotene which may cause skin disease, stomachache, diarrhea or bone disease. That's why children should eat less than 4 oranges on every day basis.

2. Spinach contains lots of oxalic acid which would effect children's absorbing a great deal of calcium and zinc. Lacking of calcium and zinc can cause some symptoms including skeletal dysplasia, tooth dysplasia and mental retardation.

3. Egg. Eggs are higher in dietary cholesterol than other foods. It would cause overnutrition, fatness, stomach and liver disorders if you eat too many eggs a day. It's appropriate to eat no more than 3 eggs a day for children.

4. Strong tea contains tannin which can cause iron deficiency. Particularly, iron deficiency in children would result in poverty of blood and mental retardation.

5. Jelly is made of from substances which are less nutritious and somewhat toxic. It has a bad effect on growth, development and mental health in children.

6. Almost every salted fishes contain lots of substances might cause potential cancer. So, children should steer clear of salted fishes.

7. Bubblegum contains plasticizers, which are harmful to the human body. Besides, the unhealthy way children chew bubble gum tends to cause stomach and intestine diseases.

8. Saccharin--The big consumption of saccharin would be harmful to stomach, kidney, gall, bladder and etc.

9. Beans--Beans contain a factor, which can cause swelling of thyroid gland.

10. Ginseng--Children's eating ginsengs might lead to the sexual precocity.

11. Canned food--Canned food contains some additives, which tend to cause chronic poisoning.

12. Popcorn is rich in lead, which is harmful to nervous system, digestive system and hematopoiesis.

13. Instant noodle contains food coloring and preservatives, which are bad for human body.

14. Sunflower seeds contains certain substance, which is harmful to liver function.

15. Cola--Too much caffeine would damage to children's organs.

16. Animal fat--It would cause obesity and effect the absorption of calcium if children eat animal fats too often.

17. Kebab, Smoked foods are extremely carcinogenic.

18. Chocolate--Chocolate's high content of stearic acid puts it in the same category of risk of coronary disease as meat and butter. It may also result to poor appetite.

19. Salt--It tends to cause high blood pressure, coronary heart disease and stomach cancer in adulthood if you eat too much salt as a child.

20. Pig liver is rich in cholesterol, which may result in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in adulthood.
