Staycation at Sentosa!

Last Saturday, a less hazy morning, my boy and my niece (Angel), together with my mum and sis met up for breakfast. Thanks to the lord that the weather was good on that day! Brandon has registered and going to sit for his GAT (General Ability Test) under Duman High School on that day.

I realise many primary students in Singapore are facing peer pressure in school especially for those who are sitting for PSLE this year same as my boy. I pity the kids nowadays as they've lost all their childhood fun, so deprive, unlike our time when we were at their age.

I urge my boy to do more assessments than before as Brandon has slack quite a fair bit this time. His teachers are very concerned and they seek my cooperation to monitor him and emphasizes to me not to let his capabilities go wasted. They are confident he will pass with flying colours as long he's focus and willing put in more efforts in his weaker subjects.

I may nag him most of the time but not just on his studies, his manners his attitude his way of tackling some basic issues in life..  I have to guide him the right path and constantly reminds him the good values in life.

That's right! Brandon can't be revising all the time, my boy needs a break too! Thus, we booked a staycation at Sentosa over the weekend, just to enjoy ourselves and No Work or Studies!

Hard Rock Hotel and Festive Hotel selling like Hotcakes! Both hotels were fully occupied when we called in to make a reservation. Hence, we left with no choice but to take Hotel Michael for one night stay.

The Deluxe Room is filled with maple-accented art-design atmosphere, Simmons 'Cool Max' bed, warm and cosy. In addition, classic black and white marble flooring in the bathroom accompanied with the unusual blue mosaic-tiled circular shower.

A BIG Thank You to my sis' boyfriend's dad for his kind sponsor for the free accommodation.

After check-in hotel, we came out to explore and look for food. We were Hungry! I brought my two beloved to Hard Rock Cafe for a nice filling late lunch snack.

We ordered two mains, garlic bread plus 3 Root Beer, and the total tab costs S$90+
Yes, this is expensive!

We start cam-whoring whilst waiting for Huijun to join us for dinner.

Brandon and Jack look so 'Ah Beng'

Here we are at Tastes of Asia, which is also my bro's workplace!

We had a great dinner until our stomach could burst anytime. We must walk around to digest the heavy load... halfway, we found ice-cream!!! The pretty colours attracted me to into the little red shop *Stickhouse ...and..wow..

Don't you love these sweet colours of ice-cream sticks from  the display?(^∇^)

See our two little boys?! Slurping away

I had the Pomegranate flavour fruit sorbet...love it!

The fruit sorbet are made with fresh fruit (if available in season) and natural ingredients.
They are naturally sucrose sugar-free because they are produced with fructose.
All of our sorbets are gluten free*, lactose-free and can be consumed by vegans.

The following day, we joined Vanes and her family to the concert that was specially arranged by Josen's care centre. We were offered a special discounted price for the tickets and I asked SX to come along. Brandon watched a sneak preview of the VocaPeople he is keen to find out more.

Before the actual performance kicks in, we have some of the students from Kids Performing came on stage to present us a short musical session. Amazingly, they really sing very well except for the dance part.

Brandon enjoyed the concert throughout...literally smiling, clapping and singing for the entire time. He said he wouldn't mind to watch them again if they come to Singapore to perform again.

The Voca People - A musical comedy sensational performance (or: vocal theatre) combining amazing vocal sounds – A-cappella singing with the modern art of beat-box which imitates the sounds of a full orchestra such as drums, trumpets, guitars and more without any musical instrument. The show is an unforgettable experience that combines musical brilliancy with lots of humour.
