Maurtius is a wonderful holiday destination, tropical weather with dry winter between May to November and hot summer between December to April. Hindus stand at 48% in population, follow by Roman Catholic at 23% and the rest are Christians, Muslims and non-religious. English and French are widely spoken locally. Car rental is also available.
Two years back, I had my first and most expensive holiday to Mauritius with my partner. We stayed at the Tamassa, a 4-star hotel under the Naiade Collection. Located at Bel Ombre, on the south-west coast of this beautiful island that I love so much! You will never regret and you will definitely return for more...
We booked our first 3 nights with half-board meals inclusive. Those who are not used to Indian spices may not like the food. I looked forward to my daily breakfast but not lunch and dinner. I tried both buffet and the ala-carte menus, I really cannot stand the 'Indian flavours'.
The beach is not white but brown and sandy.. lies a beautiful lagoon in front of the hotel. Many watersport activities to choose from.. and they are FREE! *hee... only for those motorized seasports are chargeable.
Standard room is good enough for two and we love the room decor with greenish color. Very clean, simple and cosy. Big spacious bathroom with corner bath tub. It would be great to soak yourself in it after all the seasport games. Relax with your partner, have champagne together... oohh~~ I miss it soooo much! You may close the sliding door if you like more privacy. A romantic getaway for honeymooners!
