I just returned from a short trip to Malacca, which is also known as Melaka. I have not been there for at least 2 years and this lovely small town has changed a lot lately... more and more cafes..chill-out..authentic Nyonya food and makan everywhere you go... Irresistible delicious food and colorful streets for you to explore~
This is the Malay stall we stopover to have our lunch.. since it's the first day of CNY, we didn't see any Chinese Restaurant open for business. Seeing the crowd from this picture, you can tell how the food fares...
I am not naming the food as I believe every dish is not anew to everyone.
I didn't try the fish cos too many bones. The chilli padi is sedap..it taste sour, salty and spicy..
After a hearty meal on a hot afternoon, we decided to take a walk the Jonkers Street. And we found a nice cosy chill-out at Geographer~ it's unique and we saw many tourist taking a break or having their meal at this interesting restaurant cum pub!
Its TIGER BEER time!
We saw many souvenir shops...selling magnets..colorful lighting...as well as the ah-ma clog shoes in the olden days...brings back lots of fond memories... this is the place where I bought the bamboo wind chimes...
At Night, we decided to try the famous authenic Nyonya food at Hotel Equatorial. One of my member highly recommneded and so here we are!
You'll be lured into CNY mood with all the bright red lanterns and many locals strolling along the street with families and friends... some even traditional cheongsams... we saw a few stalls at roadside writing Chinese phrases/greetings... there's a beautiful Jonker Boutique Hotel right in the middle of the Jonkers Street.
Lok-Lok Express Steamboat...if you have craving for some bites...
Please try this! Yummy-licious....I won't those with weak stomach~
Every ten steps... there's stall selling Healthy Fruit Tea Drink...
I like their bottles cos of the cute design... but I did not buy.. Y? beats me~
We found another chill-out.. but we are not drinking this time...
heard from a friend that the band down here are GREAT SINGERS!
Famous Chicken Rice Balls.. after hearing about it for many yeas.. its my first time trying... mmm.. honestly, I don't like. I think the Fishball taste better than the Chickenball... quite disappointed cos I hold high expectation!
Only this Plum Lime Juice...is GOOD!
More to upload... to be continue tomorrow....
